The Five Star Certification program is factory training focused on the important fundamentals of servicing Yamaha products. Technicians work through 10 self-paced video programs covering service theory and diagnostics, with three more specialized programs for service managers. At the end of each program, the technician or service manager takes an online test. He or she becomes Five Star Certified only by passing all the tests.

Only when the dealership has both a technician and service manager certified can they advertised that they are a 5 Star Certified Dealer.
